Facciatone

The Facciatone is the unfinished façade of a cathedral, whose construction was halted in 1348. Climb the 131-step spiral staircase to the panoramic terrace at the top for fantastic views of Siena. Access is through the Museo dell’Opera, and admission is included with the €7 Cathedral Museum entrance fee. Get there early to avoid a queue.
