Yes, you can easily walk from Imerovigli to Fira along the picturesque caldera path, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes. The walk offers stunning views the entire way. Walking to Oia is also possible via the famous Fira-Oia hiking trail, but this is a much longer and more challenging trek, typically taking around 2.5 to 3 hours, and requires appropriate footwear and plenty of water.
What is the best time of year to visit Imerovigli?
The shoulder seasons – late April to early June and September to October – are generally considered the best times to visit Imerovigli. During these months, the weather is pleasant, the crowds are smaller than in July and August, and most establishments are open. The peak summer months can be very hot and crowded, while winter sees many businesses closed, though it offers a very quiet, authentic experience.
