On the north shore of lovely Lake Garda sits this teeny, traditional Italian town. It boasts an amphitheatre-style waterfront, where buildings tumble down the mountainside, and a harbour that’s stunning both day and night. To one side, you’ll see majestic Mount Baldo and on the other, you’ve got the gorgeous green Sarche plain.

Feel at home by the harbour

Backed by dramatic mountain scenery, the water’s edge is lined with charming, colourful buildings in all shapes and sizes. Don’t miss the pretty pastel-coloured Old Customs House and Casa Beust café. You’ll see local fishermen heading out for their catch of the day and get to mingle with the locals over a coffee.

It’s a real hit with sports fans

Thanks to the constant breeze, hundreds of visitors flock to this tiny town each year to take part in sailing and windsurfing. The use of motorboats is prohibited, so there’s no need to worry about being disturbed when you’re out riding the waves. Prefer to stay on dry land? Give hiking or mountain biking a go.
