Beaches
Santorini rests above an active volcano, giving most of its beaches a distinctive black or burnt orange hue. For those who prefer golden sands, Kamari Beach stands out as one of the most popular and picturesque spots. Prepare to sit back and unwind completely.
Sights
Few sights are as iconic as the blue dome atop the ice-white building of the Three Bells of Fira. Whether you explore it or just snap a photo from afar, it's a must-visit. Another essential stop is Ancient Thera. If you're intrigued by Pompeii, Santorini's Akrotiri offers a similar tale of ancient devastation.
Activities

Eating and drinking

The main towns of Fira and Oia are your best bets for buying souvenirs and enjoying a spot of retail therapy. While handmade jewellery and sculptures can all be browsed in local shops, you’ll also notice plenty of places selling books. How about a mosey around the market stalls as well?
Nightlife
Casual cocktail or an ice-cold beer on the beach – which do you prefer? Santorini offers an abundance of both. The island features a mix of laidback, atmospheric bars and more lively spots. If saxophone-filled soirées are your thing, you'll also discover a few charming jazz bars.
