Relish playing on immaculate fairways, with tricky water hazards and bunkers dotted among the greenery. As you play, soak up the views of the distant Pyrenees Mountains and glittering Mediterranean.

Holes: Of its 18 holes, number 9 is typically touted the signature, thanks to its par-3 average length of 160m from the back tees.

The area: Ranked as the number one golf course in Spain, this fairway is a pleasure to play on. The striking natural landscape is speckled with trees, lakes and white-sand bunkers designed to pose a challenge. Pros love it too, with numerous PGA European Circuit tournaments played here since its establishment in 1999.

Holes: This is an 18-hole course but the 13th is a real treat – expect views of the Pyrenees and the Montseny Massif.

The area: The Tour Course has been open since 2005 and is the resident course for the PGA European Tour Qualifying School. Play among pine trees and lakes at this scenic green, shorter and less testing than its sister course. The wide fairways mean you can be forgiven for a less accurate shot, but numerous water features cause extra hazards.

Holes: There are 18 holes and all those with par-5 offer optimum space from the tees to hit the green for a rewarding result.
