Leisurely life

When you're not at the golf club, explore this marvellous island and all it has to offer. Take walks across its epic volcanic scenery, then sit down to heavenly seafood dishes and local Canarian delicacies as the sun sets.

Resorts for all sorts and sports

Fuerteventura's resorts offer plenty for all ages. If you're more into active holidays than beachside lounging, then why not check out water sports like windsurfing? Trek across the mighty, sandy Corralejo Dunes, or set sail to visit Lobos Island.

The ideal climate

No matter when you want to hit the course, Fuerteventura will be primed to provide some sun while you play. The rainfall is low, but the winter months will cool off a little, meaning less intense heat and shady patches.

Fuerteventura Golf Club Costa Caleta

Par: 72

Length: 6,069m

Designer: Juan Catarineu

Course Type: Parkland

Tee to Green: Extensive greenery and three lakes embellish this 18-hole course. This was Fuerteventura’s first golf club, and hosted the Spain Open in 2004.

Signature Hole: The par 5 17th hole incorporates a climb, so it’s got a risky challenge to it. The next hole – the par 4 18th – is a dogleg that drops right back towards the clubhouse.

19th Hole: Clubhouse. Restaurant. Bar. Terrace gardens. Driving range. Pro shop. Putting green.

Jandia Golf

Par: 72

Length: 5,865m

Designer: Ron Kirby

Course Type: Heathland

Tee to Green: This is a course of diversity for all skill levels, with an intricate design set around scenic areas of lush greenery, dry riverbeds and four lakes. It has a tendency to get windy.

Signature Hole: Between the 9th and 11th holes, the terrain is rocky and dusty, so teeing off is harder due to the natural surroundings.

19th Hole: Clubhouse. Snack Bar. Driving range. Pro shop. Putting green.

Las Playitas Golf, Las Playitas

Par: 67

Length: 4824m

Designer: John Chilver Stainer

Course Type: Hillside

Tee to Green: Though par 67 sounds relatively short, these fairways have been mapped out with challenges in mind, across 18 holes. Natural hills and valleys provide a pretty backdrop.

Signature Hole: The 15th hole is the standout on this course, and protected by bunkers and waters for an extra twist.
